La Garita Pistol Club’s 1st Night Shoot
I want to thank my South African friend Jim Morris, motorcycle rider (“African Hardcore
Adventures”) and fellow shooting instructor for showing me things he’d learned in Rhodesia back in the bad old days, (just before the worse old days as Zimbabwe). Jim was a police officer there and developed a system with two people in low light situations.
I’d also like to thank my friend “Manny” Kapelsohn for his contribution towards my enlightenment in the use of tactical illumination. What follows is a small step, a beginning of sorts, towards better knowledge in Defensive Night Fighting.
Shooters became engrossed in conversation as I watched the light fade to dark and I had to get them moving before we couldn’t see at all. I think the dark brings out the best in us. Definitely want to do more of this…
